The Victorian resort of Ventnor lies at the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, and boasts one of the mildest climates in the UK. Ventnor beach is ideal for swimming or just lounging. The pictureque sea front offers cafés, several bars and of course places to get ice cream. Ventnor Havens' pretty Harbour a new addition to the sea front where you can buy locally caught seafood or take a coastal boat trip. The Isle of Wight is an ideal place for walking; there are more miles of footpaths than roads. The Eversley is situated to the west of Ventnor and our top garden and grounds have their own access to the coastal paths. We will be pleased to supply information and maps of walks ranging from 2 to 20 miles. For shorter walks the Eversley Hotel is situated next to picturesque Ventnor Park, floodlight in the summer, perfect for an after dinner stroll, or perhaps a little further to the botanic gardens with its collection of exotic plants, and on to Steephill cove an old world secluded sandy cove. |
